Ingredients
 

  • 1 to 1.2 kg frozen fries or the equivalent of your favourite restaurant’s fresh fries
  • 300 g fresh cheese curds (or more if desired)
  • 400 g to 500 g poutine sauce
  • 2 pouches of 125 g Levitts Montreal smoked meat (or more if desired)

Preparation

  • Step 1
    Heat the Levitts Montreal smoked meat as indicated on the packaging.
  • Step 2
    Cook the frozen French fries as directed on the package and heat the poutine sauce in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Step 3
    When the meat is ready, remove from the package and place in a container in order to shred it with two forks. Be careful, the content will be hot!
  • Step 4
    When the fries are ready, divide half in large, deep bowls or plates, then divide half of the cheese curds and repeat with the remaining French fries and cheese.
  • Step 5
    Top each poutine with 100 to 125 ml of sauce and spread the shredded smoked meat over each poutine.
  • Step 6
    Serve hot!
