Ingredients
 

  • 1 6-inch Italian roll, lightly toasted
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) yellow mustard
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) mayonnaise
  • ⅔ pkg (100 g) Levitts Pastrami, thinly sliced
  • 2 or 3 slices (30 g) old cheddar (white or orange)
  • ⅓ cup (50 g) shredded pickled red cabbage

Preparation

  • Step 1
    Evenly spread the mustard on the bottom half of the lightly toasted Italian roll. Spread mayonnaise onto the top half of the roll.
  • Step 2
    Pile the thinly sliced Levitts pastrami meat onto the mustard.
  • Step 3
    Top pastrami with cheddar, shredded red cabbage, and the top of the Italian roll, mayonnaise side down. Gently press together.
  • Step 4
    Wrap sandwich in foil or parchment paper to ensure the sandwich holds together when eaten. Using a sharp serrated bread knife or chef’s knife, slice the sandwich in half. Serve immediately.
